Fast forward to today, the TTD is $6.60 to $1 US and Computers are 12.5% VAT

So if you had purchased a $500 US laptop prior to September 7th you would have paid: $500US @ $6.37 = $3185.00 TT + $27 US Shipping @ $6.37 = $172 TT = $3357 + 0% VAT = $3357

Today, if you purchase a $500 US laptop you would pay: $500US @ $6.60 = $3300.00 TT + $27 US Shipping @ $6.60 = $178 TT = $3478 + 12.5% VAT = $3912.00

So the difference with VAT and the depreciation of the TT Dollar since September is $558.00 and that is if you ship it yourself.
