How does ROBIN MONTANO feel about the “great betrayer.” Joining Jack?
Yesterday, Montano, said he won’t support Maharaj, whom he described as the “great betrayer.”
“The UNC congress expelled Ramesh and the congress must have say in his return. This is too big and too potentially divisive an issue for the executive to take it upon itself to decide on Ramesh’s return alone. The rules are our servants, not our masters.”
Montano said he moved a motion, at Monday’s caucus, against having Maharaj speak at the rally. He said Baksh supported it.
“Sadiq recalled in 2002 when Ramesh asked him, as well as Trevor Sudama and Ralph Maraj to sign a document for then President ANR Robinson. This called for removing Panday as prime minister and replacing him with Patrick Manning.
“Sadiq refused, saying Panday on his worst day was a better PM than Manning was in his best,” said Montano.
